Daughter No2 is after a few pencil skirts with a 50’s vibe. I did some sketches & decided to start with this one. The pattern is a self-draft. It took a couple of tries to get the pocket curved in just the right place, and just the right shape, but we are both very pleased with the outcome. I cut the pocket trim from a plain fabric to add contrast, and make the curved shape stand out.
The fabric is the left overs of some John Kaldor cotton I bought about 5 years or so ago. The closure is an invisible zip & a simple metal button.
