Description

This wedding ensemble started life as an 80 year old silk charmeuse wedding trousseau. Unfortunately, the dress itself was in tatters, but the nightgown, slip and collar, along with the Bride’s future Mother-in-law’s vintage wedding gown were all used for the new outfits, including a dress for the reception.

Thanks for posting. This was a long term project, and I was nervous about every stitch I removed, but she was so lucky that the silk of the one dress was in such good shape. The laces were absolutely beautiful, and we used every inch!

It looks lovely. So nice that you could use the older gowns for a new one!
