I sewed a dress from a 1965 pattern, Simplicity 5914, using fabric from my late grandma’s stash and vintage thrifted notions. Feel free to stop by my blog for more photos and discussion on the construction.

Thank you! I love the retro too- I can’t bring myself to sew with too many modern patterns right now! I’ll probably get over it in time!

Really nice, I love the shape of the collar!

Thanks! The collar is neat! According to the pattern cover, it accommodates a bow at the front, and I tried that, but it looked too busy with the paisley fabric. Great opportunity to wear some nice pins and brooches though!
