I used a pattern I found in a cupboard at my Nan’s house – Nan had used it to make my Mum a dress when she was my age!
A tailored black mini dress that goes on like you’re wrapping yourself up in a towel. Retro geometric lining that flaps over at the top. Finish with patent black belt and heels.
I really wouldn’t recommend making a dress like this without a dress making figure – it is really difficult to get it to fit exactly right (e.g. placement of push buttons) when you’re trying it on yourself…
Black heavy stretch cotton, patterned chiffon with white cotton backing, push clips.
