In honor of the Ginger Sewalong starting today on A Fashionable Stitch (my blog) I put together my 1st Ginger from the latest line of patterns to come out from Colette Patterns. The pattern was soooooo easy and such an easy fit. It literally only took me a few hours to get this skirt stitched up and slipped on. It’s made from a cotton/poly fabric (not a fabric I usually go for) which I thrifted for about $2. It’s totally got a 70s vibe and will be such a great piece to easily wear everyday.
For extra fun, I added store bought piping to the waistband and drafted patch pockets to go on the front. Want to join in and sewalong with me? Jump on over to A Fashionable Stitch. This sewalong is especially for beginners, but I think more advanced stitchers would have fun as well!
Ciao!

i love that fabric, it is lovely and matched with the piping and pockets…perfect. i am inspired. i am so tempted to jump over and by that pattern but postage to Australia is a bit pricey. Might be worth it in the end though.
