This is the very first dress I made. I had extra fabric left over from a wallet I made for a gift. (Neon green)… I was really proud of how welll it came out… This was also the first time I used elastic, and the first time I draped.
Elastic.

I’ve just made a dress like this last week! Only I used denim for the skirt. This is a great idea for another party style…maybe I will make another.

@diddledod I made sure I had enough fabric so that when stitched and pulled (I don’t remember the proper name for it, but its the same way that you make ruffles) and while I was sewinf onto the elastic, I made sure I stretched the elastic to fit the fabric.
@prad7carm I didn’t use any “how-to” for this one…It was all by trial and error. Luckily it was less error :-)
thanks so mcuh for the compliments everyone!!
