Santa Cruz, Cali...
I used a retro pattern to make this dress and capelet. The pattern was fairly easy, although it turned out huge and I had to take quite a bit of fabric from the back. The dress fabric and capelet lining are a vintage fabric I found for $3 at a second hand shop.
I wrote an article about it here: http://www.nothingnewtreasures.com/2013/10/10/another-dress-on-a-deadline-butterick-b5032-dress-and-capelet/
Dress and Capelet lining are a vintage fabric I found at a thrift store, and the outer capelet is a new linen.
