I made this bag for my sisters birthday. This I the first time I tackled rivets… and I got the handle a little squint- highly annoying!! Probably my own fault- I did put the handles on a little low down which made it really hard to get those rivets in.
I hope my sister likes it, it is a very loud bag!
I got the pattern from this great site ‘Noodlehead’.
The material was a gift from my mother in law. I think from the hooks hanging off it it was a pair of curtains!! The pattern is one that you like and hate all at once. I think it makes a good bag! The material itself is some kind of hessian. it frayed like a cow and I used a lot of interfacing to hold it. I also used a nice big button I got from a flea market- one of those juicy mixed bags of weird buttons. Perfect!
