Ok, I realize these are some baad photos, but I´m too excited to wait any longer. :)
This is my first take on Alison bathing suit. I saw a similar version of this bathing suit somewhere online but it was too expensive, about 100 dollars. Bottom part is made of two pieces so I can keep it simple with high waisted shorts or be glamourus with gathers. Upper part of the suit has a built in push up bra because I need to have some support as for my lack of fullness in that area. :))
lycra, elastic, synthetic push up bra

wow :D I love what you have done – thanks for tips on how to make skirt…. I agree about retro swimmers being overpriced.
Do you know all up how much it was to make?

Thanks, it took me one afternoon for sewing it up and around 20 dollars for the fabric and bra. :) I think I’ve bought 2 meters but I have pretty much leftovers, maybe 1 meter would be enough…

Front- made out of Alison pattern, sewed on a push up bra, sides-drafted copying bra. :)

This is AMAZING! Is the skirt piece just a shirred rectangle that you put over the bottoms?

Thank you! I drafted the skirt piece based on the shape of bottoms but lengthen it to be two times longer. Then I gathered it using elastic. :)

Thank you, I’m glad you like it so much. I bought about a meter of this fabric but I still got left around 40 cm of it. I think…It’s 140 cm wide…Good luck, I’d like to see yours when you make one! :)

I love it!!! i think it is so adorable with the gingham! I made a top in the same style and want to make a skirted bottom—but instead made shorts—yours are waaaaay cuter!! :)
