Description

I made this jacket from my grandma’s old housecoat.

My original intention was to make a cape, but I ended up turning it into a a kimono-sleeved jacket. I lined it, , added a few fabric-covered buttons, and used the original tasseled belt from the housecoat.

I have more details on how I made this on my blog: Daughter Fish

Thanks Sealtopaz! I love recycling clothing, too. Particularly when the clothes have cool, vintage print. We should never throw those away!:)
