This is my first vest, my first piece of clothing & my first sewing project ever! I’m really happy with how it turned out (even though I didn’t know how to make the plaid match up).
I didn’t bother with buttons because I liked how it looked with the front ironed back. I also neglected the adjustable strap in the back because I ran out of the gray fabric and didn’t like how the plaid looked.
I used a skirt (size 8) and a XXL men's button-down shirt - both of which I bought on the cheap at goodwill. Cotton & something stretch.
