This dress is technically a ‘mock up’, but since I had to buy fabric for it, I decided to make the garment in a blue color instead of in the traditional muslin. Muslin is so expensive anyways that this was almost the same price and it utilizes the same fabrics as the dresses I sell in my shop.
This dress has a sweetheart style neckline with a sheer yoke, all the edges are bound in the cotton fabric. There is a keyhole in the back of the dress that closes with a shank button and elastic around the waist. Not a terribly difficult dress to create, overall. If you don’t want to draft a pattern yourself, I would say the Macaron pattern by Colette Patterns is similar enough of a base that you could easily modify it to make something like this garment.
