This dress is technically a ‘mock up’, but since I had to buy fabric for it, I decided to make the garment in a blue color instead of in the traditional muslin. Muslin is so expensive anyways that this was almost the same price and it utilizes the same fabrics as the dresses I sell in my shop.
This dress has a sweetheart style neckline with a sheer yoke, all the edges are bound in the cotton fabric. There is a keyhole in the back of the dress that closes with a shank button and elastic around the waist. Not a terribly difficult dress to create, overall. If you don’t want to draft a pattern yourself, I would say the Macaron pattern by Colette Patterns is similar enough of a base that you could easily modify it to make something like this garment.
If you want to find out why the garment is named renbl, check out my blog, where you can also see larger versions of these pictures!
