To make my cloche hat, I took an old wool sweater and put it through the washing machine and dryer. The wool turned to felt and I cut the pieces for the hat. I cut diamonds and sewed them around the brim, stuffing it to make it stiff. The flower on the side uses extra diamonds and strips of wool. I threw it in the wash once more, and then used a steaming iron to block it into shape! Voila!
