What do you do when you have a garment that you made but you don’t really wear?
You unpick it and make something you will wear and love!
I took a dress I made (http://www.burdastyle.com./projects/japanese-for-beginners) and re-made it into this skirt. I’ve used the wonderful Kwik Sew 3728 (Medium – it fits me like a glove with no alterations at all) and went all out and used bits from both views (the kick pleat from A and the welt pockets from B). I wanted a bit of contrast so had to fiddle a bit with the pattern to make this work with the pleat. I am really happy with this and will wear it heaps more that the dress. I really wanted a blue skirt!
This was the last thing I made before I got my new (well, new to me), swanky over locker – so brace yourselves for more creations!
