Burda Style For people who sew

well i’ve been seeing a lot of trenchcoats recently with faux leather sleeves ets. i loved the look but not the price tag.i got this trenchcoat in a charity shop. now its fab and warm as its quilted but it was massive on me. i took it in about 3 inches either side then removed the sleeves.i just copied the origional sleeve and reattached the tabs. i might add a leather trim at a later date. i think it turned out quite well and its lovely warm and modern now

I.m well pleased with.how it turned out i.m thinking of doing the jeager one next.its s pure new wool colour block coat!! It costs £350 though.i used to work for them so i know how its constructed. I.m using four charity shop coats to do it.x

Oh that would look fab!! i bought 2 mtrs of the faux leather so i.ll make either a peplum dress r pencil skirt and top.the faux leather was so soft and easy to work with and quite a few asked me where i bought my coat x
