Description

I bought this gown at Goodwill last spring because it was so cheap (yet so purdy…), but had to refashion it because it was about four sizes too large. This was especially difficult because of the princess seams, both the lining and outer layer needed to be taken in a lot. I had to french seam the outer layer because of the sheer fabric, it was my first time with that technique. cringe
I am in LOVE with the beautiful ribbon detailing at the neckline, so delicate, but otherwise it is quite a simple looking dress. Style wise, the only thing I changed was adding spaghetti straps instead of a tank top style bodice, and shortening it just a few inches to ankle-length.

Also, sorry about the clutter. :P

This is sooooo soft and romantic! Love the fit on you – it looks like the dress was sewn for you to begin with! Great re-fashion!!!

wow! what a lovely find. I’m sure that was much work to refashion…but you’ve ended up with a beautiful one of a kind dress.
