Yep, more silk men’s ties were recycled for this project, I’ve not grown out of my silk tie obsession just yet. I used yo-yos from about 14 deconstructed neckties for this scarf, including some rather posh designer ones (Lanvin, daaarling). It measures about 100cm long and 35cm wide.
I reckon there are about 120 or so yo-yos the size of a tea light in this one, plus a few slightly larger ones. The scarf/wrap is very light and warm and drapes nicely; it’s long and wide enough to serve as a wrap over a dress as well. A LOT of hours went into this scarf – a very labour intensive project!
The black jacket is from Zara.
14 or so silk ties, thread.
