I wish I had a before photo for this refashion! It was 80s and hideous with batwing sleeves and a horrible waistband thingy at the hips. I cut it apart and used my self-drafted pattern for my other leather jacket (will add to my studio soon!) to make proper fitted sleeves.
I used my home sewing machine, a heavy duty needle and heavy duty upholstery thread. The whole debacle was a right kerfuffle and nearly ended up with a sewing machine through the window….
