A few moths ago a friend wanted to throw away his pullover. The material was very soft so I saved it. It was a little bit big for me, especially at the shoulders. I didn´t know what to do with it, until I decided to turn it into a cardigan last week. All I did was to cut the pullover in the middle front. Then I sewed on a ribbon and some lace. Then cut off the arms, took in the sides and sewed the arms back on.
