My friend Allin gave me this black silk cardigan. She said she did not wear cardigans and I also found a tiny hole in one of the arms very close to the seam.
The sweater was a size M and I am normally a size S.
The sweater also had a straight cut and the length was very unflattering.
So, I cut the piece above the waistline, shortened teh sleeves (so the hole is gone), adjusted the bodice and sleeves to make it more size S and added ruffles.
