Description

I didn’t like the bodice of this dress (too baggy and bulky), so I replaced the bodice with a fitted self drafted one, and added macrame straps (made with strips of the same jersey as the bodice) for more fun.
I found inspiration for the macrame straps here: Macrame Racerback and here Macrame Back Bra.
I drafted the top part of the bodice following those instructions: How to make a contour bust top

Old dress
Black stretch jersey

Like your new dress. Nice touch with the macramé as well.

Thanks a lot Ellen! I’m full into refashioning things now, it’s a lot of fun (and it makes my closet full of stuff I can actually wear)!
