An ill-fitting, raglan-sleeve, lightweight sweater from Spanish chain Zara becomes a gingham-trimmed zippered cardigan. This was one of the first couple of sweater-to-cardigan refashions I did, and I just winged it, but grosgrain (www.grosgrainfabulous.blogspot.com) has a good tutorial if you’d like instructions. Note that with a v-neck sweater like this one it is necessary to shape the bias tape casing to match the slant of the vee.
