Red Trapezoid Skirt

Added Oct 3, 2013

by schnui

These photos don’t do this great A-line skirt justice. The detail Burda has added to a simple A-line skirt make this just that bit more special. For my back pocket welts, I did a double welt rather than a single as my cotton sateen fabric is bulky and I think the double sits better.

Material Notes

Cotton sateen with stretch.

I am going to be making this again and again. Unfortunately my Spotlight red sateen grows as you wear it, so I will be looking for a fabric that is more stable. You really don’t need stretch for this pattern.

Snap – I have the fabric waiting to make up this skirt! Yours looks great!
