Description
Made this from a vintage Butterick pattern (2952) from the sixties. It was a pretty straightforward project, and it’s a nice basic to add to my wardrobe :) This won’t be my last red dress, I’m afraid I’m a little obsessed :)

Gorgeous dress, and thanks for posting a picture of the pattern envelope, always interesting to see it when the pattern is vintage. It suits you perfectly!
You pictures make me very curious! That cupboard looks just like traditional cupboards from the part of northern Sweden where I grew up (google “Jämtlandsskåp”). They’re very provincial, and often sell for a fortune. Is you family from Sweden? If so, and you didn’t already know, take good care of it :-)! If not I wonder if there are the same kind of cupboards in Switzerland… (I did find textiles in Laos almost identical to preserved Viking textiles, weird!).

Thank you :)
I googled it, and I think ours is a little different It actually has an inscription on the top, I think it was made in 1818 for johann georg rehm and katharina edlen (at least those are the names at the top of the doors…). My parents have had it for a long time, it’s probably been in the family for a while, but I don’t think I’m related to the original owners. Maybe it’s from germany? It could be from sweden too though… thank you for your comment about it, I always wondered who those two people were when I was little. maybe I should investigate!

Nice clean lines. Amazing what a couple of inches of the length do. Very nice.
