This was the first creation I tried using burda patterns. I chose the Anda pattern because it seemed like a simple pattern to start with. I wanted to use a more interesting fabric because the pattern is so plain. The fabric is from India and has a really interesting design that almost makes it look like animal print. It ended up not working very well with the original pattern because it didn’t bunch very well under the bust and it looked boxy on the sides until I brought it in. I added the opening in the back and I think it works well with this style.
The red ribbon belt was my cousin’s idea

I did take in the sides. The fabric wasn’t looking right, it was really puffing out because it wasn’t thin enough I think.

did you take in the sides, too? anda’s looking very slim. mine came out puffier somehow. i prefer your fit.

I always love a unique back on a garment, the opening in the back is beautiful, as is the rest of the dress.
