This is my entry for the Red and Pink Challenge, a variation on the Minna dress. I had a design in mind for the challenge, but it was so similar to the Minna dress, I decided to not try to reinvent the wheel and just used the premade pattern. I got the fabric from the bargain bin ($2 a yard!) and hand embroidered the neckline. I also made the belt, using a patterned red suede for on side and a snakeskin patterned gray vinyl on the reverse, to make it more versatile within my existing wardrobe. The embroidery was designed with both the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society in mind, with the hearts representing the former and the squiggles in between inspired from the latter’s logo.
Pink jersey, dark red suede, gray vinyl

So cute! Great job on the hand embroidery. I’ve done that on several of the quilts I’ve made and it’s always my favorite part. Get to sit on the couch with a good movie and just stitch away!
Btw, I featured this dress on my blog!
