Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I fell in love with this fabric, it’s a red light cotton with small white anchors, really cute, so I tried to do something a bit special with it but I struggled with the lining (crappy polyester).
Sorry it’s not ironed so there are a lot of wrinkles, well to be honest even with ironing some wrinkles still there on the bust part :(
I used miasu’s contour bust dress pattern for the top, lengthen it and changed a bit the back. The skirt is just a rectangle gathered at the waist.

yes I made the dress then put the red bias tape where I wanted.

This is a remarkable dress. No matter how you see it-the unique total of parts work beautifully. Ideal bodice & never would dream a rectangular shape for skirt could fit so well!
