This is the first dress I made by making a muslin first and I am super happy with the fit. It took me a long time to put together because I was so new at a lot of things, like fitting, using the muslin as a pattern, using wide seam allowances, putting in a lining on the top.
I made the basic version of the dress without the cut out shoulders so that I can wear it to work.. I also successfully added the pockets. The lining feels so good on the inside!
I used the Cyntia Rowley Simplicity pattern 2281 http://www.simplicity.com/p-5528-misses-dresses-cynthia-rowley-collection.aspx
I will upload more pictures of the details. I just wanted to get another one of my projects up quickly. I had so much help from my teachers at the Caledonia Fine Fabrics Sewing School.
