Description

A lot of other sewers have said that this pattern is a bit off and I’d agree, it needs adjustments on the waist, hem and zipper. I ended up making it at least 2 sizes smaller than my recommended size and adjusting the pleats, also choose to use another waist band from the ‘’ Helena’’ skirt pattern as this pattern recommends that you need 4 pieces to make the waist band …. you only really need one! I’d recommend you make your own and also chop of a inch or 2 off the bottom before hemming so that it’s straight ( patten has a curved hem). Also measure well and be prepared to deviate from the patten to get a good fit and shape. But it’s not all bad it’s a quick sewing project and looks great with heels, knee boots and flat ballet pumps. I’ll be making Marie number 2.

Material Notes

I used heavy cotton blend, and a shortened zipper at 10inch, interfacing for waist band.
