Hello kess !!
My garment is gabardine, but not really waterproof.
I heard easy way is using nylon oxford, laminate, Gore-tex or waterproof spray.
Sorry i cannot help you….
But I hope you find nice garment !
Thank you.

Such a beautiful coat!
Could you maybe tell me what kind of interfacing you used? I’m in the proces of making a trenchcoat myself and can’t decide on which one to use.

Hello LittleGirl !
I recommend to choose it with sewing shop staff.
Because of it will depend on the garment you use.
For your information, followings are my example.
interfacing type : non-woven / fusible / light weight type (the gabardine i used was strong and hard,so light type was enough)
I used it on : whole facing / body upper side(around shoulder) / back collar / hem line / pockets / botton holes
I hope you can find your perfect one !!!
thank you.

Hello Misumihaela!
I used short jacket pattern, and changed the length, added the details like flaps, belt or collar.
I choose this pattern because of only my personal body shape issue.(this pattern has narrow shoulder width it is good for me)
I also considered following Burda patterns, they look also nice.
