When I saw the Kasia skirt pattern in Burdastyle, I really wanted to try it out. But since I don’t like wearing skirt (my wardrobe is all dresses) and I don’t think high-waisted skirt is a wise choice for someone in my size (and my height), I made it for my best friend who’s living several thousand miles away.
I also made a top with leg-of-mutton sleeves and high neck to go with the skirt. The base pattern is Lydia and sleeves are altered using this useful information from VintageSewing.info.
My friend just sent me her picture in the outfit. She said she’s really happy with it and that’s the most important thing.
red knit, polkadot corduroy

They both fit you perfect. I love the fabric you used for Kasia. It gives this skirt a different look.

Love it. I’d also be a happy friend if you made me that outfit and it fitted so well, and looked so good. Red, black & white is such a great combo.
