This is of wool Kimono fabric, and sewn for this festive season. Basically I put on only dull color, such as brown, gray, darker blue, and black, so the decision to make this dress was a very big one for me. But then, once completed, this dress seems not so vivid and not bad on me.
The pattern I used is just the same with Old-Kimono-remake dress (http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/old-kimono-remake-no1) with extended sleeves and cuffs. Tthis pattern is based on the one from Kimono Remake Stylebook (pictured), but mine has a little bit wider collar opening because I don’t want to attach zipper. Also, by effectively using the width of Kimono fabric (about 35cm) , the lower body consists of only three straight fabrics (original does of four fabics).
This dress is fully lined.
