Many of us swooned over burda style magazine’s green velvet + sequin dress from the December issue, and when you take this pattern apart, leaving out the sequin rectangle and trim at the hem, you get a sweet shift dress suitable for many occasions. Cut it in black for a little black dress, or in a fun print for Spring—there’s room for plenty of creativity. The long chiffon tie at the back can be tied in a bow, or knotted and draped over your arms.
Self: Lightweight, softly draping fabrics (pictured above in reverse silk charmeuse). I like it more than the original. There are two side views and one front, I would like to see what it looks like from the back.
