this is mccalls 9464. i’ve made three of these now with a slight variation on each! this one was’nt meant to be. my daughter had asked for a red cowl back maxi so i dutifully cut it out and then she changed her mind lol. now i don’t suit maxis and i did’nt want another all red dress so i decided to do the cowl in a contrasting fabric. i actually really like it now.
red jersey and double patterned jersey for the cowl

What a great idea to use two different materials ! Looks great and like you say you might get a lot more use out of this one than the sequinny ones ! Love it XXXX

Thank you. I love this dress even more as it was never meant to be. If my daughter had.nt of changed her mind it would.ve been a red cowl back maxi. I love maxi.s just not on me so I decided to alter.it for me and this is what I came.up.with. The rest of the.patterned fabric I made into another more casual dress x

Thanks. I think the plain colour shows this pattern of so well. I.ve made this in gold fishscale and green as well. This versions more wearable as.sequins are more xmassy. X
