A skirt I made from New Look 6918 and a skirt I bought at a sample sale (for something like $2!). The fabric is a gorgeous charcoal heathered wool jersey.
I made some alterations to the pattern. I was planning to make View E with the overlay, but with my fabric limitations chose a variation on View C. I slanted the pleats to add some interest, and shortened the hem my usual 3". I kept the pockets because I love them! I also used the original waistband of the skirt with elastic in it because it fit and to avoid a zipper. I really like how it turned out, although it’s a bit simple :)

I like that it’s simple. It’s a classic look, and I love the pockets too.
