After a clearout in my wardrobe I found a lot of old t-shirts which I’ve decided to recycle and created this colourful rug for the bathroom. I got inspired by last years burda magazine pattern for a knitted bag from strips of cotton fabric. I thought that t-shirt fabric will be softer and easier to knit from.
I cut more than twenty t-shrts into 1.5 to 2 cm strips circularry making two balls of fabric from each t-shirt (one from front and one from back). It was neverending process. Knitting was an easy part of the project.
I do really like it and I sure I am never going to throw any old t-shirts ever.
