Material Notes

Shortiey, I love this dress! I can’t believe you’re a beginner! And strangely, I actually like the original dress as well! :s x

yeah if the original dress from the thrift store wasnt stained at the armpit area and was in a smaller size… it’d def be cute. but man… the fabric had all these faded spots on it… had to salvage the beautiful print!

Yup, the short dress is more of a top…wear it with jeans under :) I like the dress you’ve made, I did also somewhat liked the original…but the bottom fabric is really nice so your dress is better!

That fabric is beautiful! What a find! I love your dresses so far :) It is addicting, isn’t it? I’m finding the same thing. My mom also shops at thrift stores for garments to alter. She mostly does costuming though. Also, if you want another source for cheap fabric, try Wal-Mart! My local store is actually getting rid of their fabric, so it’s on clearance at 50% off (of already cheap cheap prices)! I bet there are others that are doing the same!
