A skirt with baggy bow pockets, made from two velvet dresses that my sister and I wore when we were little. The waistband, pockets and bows are made from the larger dress, and the main skirt is the bottom of the smaller dress. I gathered the skirt on to the waistband and used the buttons from both dresses to fasten the front of the skirt. The waistband is fastened using a trouser hook from my mum’s bits ‘n’ bobs jar, because there were too many layers of fabric to sew a button hole.
I accidently deleted this so I’ve uploaded it again…originally entered into the recycle minichallenge.

How awesome to make such a pretty skirt out of something with sentimental value. And the pictures are too cute of you and your sister! :)
