This is a 1950’s style wrap dress made from recycled 1970’s Star Wars Curtains.
I’m a big Star Wars fan but also wanted to re-purpose fabric instead of buying new fabric for every project. I’ve had two vintage Star Wars panel curtains in my stash for a few years just waiting for this project.
The lining fabric, ruffle and belt fabric was left over from another project and the belt buckle was even recycled from an old hair ornament.
This pattern is loosely based on B5166: See and Sew Wrap Dress with the ruffle collar, belt and underskirt ruffle added.
This was worn to Dragon-Con 2009 and it was so much fun to wear!
Sustainability is important- even to Star Wars fans!
Sweet dresses, an outfit for a doll, and cute embellishments are fun for the holidays!
