This is my first project of my costume degree. The theme being antithesis. So I created a dress for the character Marie Antoinette, named the ‘queen of debt’ but out of recycled materials to explore the difference between expensive and low budget materials. This is the first full garment I have made so feel free to share some opinions!
Completely recycled, from plastic carrier bags and paper doilies.

very creative. Marie Antoinette would have done a panner (similar to a hoop skirt) instead of a bustle, but i can imagine that a bustle was hard enough to do, let alone the thought of a full skirt and a panner!
Great job working with such unconventional materials, especially for the first time!
