I was really lucky to come into possession of authentic used burlap coffee bags, each contains different design/prints and has lingering residue, dirt, stains, or odors associated from the transport and storage of coffee beans.
Franco, a friend of mine took some abandoned and discarded coffee sacks in Savona’s centre for the transhipment of sea cargo to inland destinations. When he got to know about my project of creating eco totes for charity fundraising he brought me some burlap coffee bags.
The outer shell is an up-cycled coffee sack and the interior is lined with cotton IKEA fabric. Sturdy straps ensure adequate support. More pictures on my blog
