To make this skirt from my Dad’s old velvet pants, I took the side seams apart carefully to the waist. I left the waistband, fly, and pockets intact. I cut out the triangles for making the skirt flare from the leg bottoms of my pants. This was a fun recreation and fun to know I’m wearing my Dad’s pants.

Thanks! I did not dye the tights but it’s not difficult to do, just choose some white or skin-tone tights and dip them in dye. For multiple colours, you probably need to let them dry in between; I’ve only done single coloured ones.

Nice restyling work. Dad had best look out for his wardrobe! Did you dye the tights? They are what my granddaughter wants.
