I made this dress from a vintage piece I found at an antique store. Unfortunately, I don’t have a before picture of this dress. It had really ugly, long batwing sleeves, a really high neckline, and it was floor length. However, I loved the stripes and the pockets. So, I went to work to make it wearable. I cut of the sleeves and the top of the dress, and created new shoulder seams and armholes. There were also a few seams coming apart that I fixed, and I added the burgundy accents.

Very, very cool! I love the vertical and horizontal stripe and the unusual color combination

Oh this is fantastic! I really do love the panel of stripes going horizontally , as well as those HUGE buttons (which are just too awesome to get in to). Well done!

I love it! You did a great job! With that width of a stripe, it could have over powered you. It could have easily made it look as though it were wearing you. Instead, you managed to balance out the stripe with the composition! Well done!
