Description

This dress is made with a hole Saree of 6 yards. I use the pallu part at the inside front of the dress, and embellished all with swarovski crystals. The silk on this saree was a bit stiff but lovely, and I though that I needed to show that caracterist of the fabric. The blouse that you see, is detachable and under is an imperio cut dress, and I use the purple part for the bust. (I hope you can imagen that…because I do not have a picture of it) With the left over I made a little party bag, and to make it very rich in an Indian style, I gathered lots of semiprecios stones in all the different colors of the saree, and put them in a way that is was just hanging from the botom of the purse. Also finished with a chal that I made in silk organza, catching one of the colors of the saree.

    Hey nice work. The color so matches(purple) with the RTW saree i recently created. Saris are such lovely outfits on their own, kudos for creating another outfit from it. I make dresses for little daughter and patiala pants from saris (actually kind of unused worn out ones, the good ones are to flaunt by themselves aren’t they)!!!!

I have one that is pure silk very rich and thik hand made, in fushia colorr with parrot green and lots of gold……..is so so beautifull!!!! that one I will never cut!!!
