Description

I made this dress some weeks ago. It’s based on a pattern from one of last year’s Burda issues. I wore it at the office once, but I think the neckline makes it a bit too sexy. Today I had the idea of wearing a blouse underneath and I think this is much better.

Material Notes

black suiting fabric, coloured lining fabric

Difficulty

Intermediate

Really beautiful, special mention to the white bip version although I like both

I like this pattern so much (and the “bib or blouse” is a good idea!), but as a novice I am a bit afraid. I see you labeled it as “intermediate”. How much did it take to make it?

It was not so very hard. I think you should give it a try. I am also not very experienced in sewing. And you always learn a lot when something goes wrong. You could try it with very cheap fabric at first.

I love white shirt underneath it, so I think a bib would be divine!!! Cute dress overall!

I loved the pattern, but put it off. Now that I saw yours…totally making it for next autumn!

If you ever made another one, you could make a “false blouse” underneath it. Is there a number for this Burda pattern?

That’s a good idea, maybe I’ll try that out. The pattern was in the Burda issue 10/2009
