It’s one of my spring designs I made into a pattern. Well, since I’m from a tropical country – it’s a summer dress for me :) The fabric had the print of the dress in front per yard, so I had a difficult time playing puzzle with the print and the lines near the hem. This was done with the use of my blocks. The sleeves go all the way to the waist.

Hey Amarie! the blocks are the same thing as sloper. I use the block/ sloper as a basic pattern and make the designs and cuts of the garment from there. Blocks don’t have seam allowances. The allowances are added after you have finished the pattern design :) hope this helps :)

Myk this is beautiful. You keep making beautiful things.
I’ve often wondered though what you meant by blocks and how it is different from a sloper like what JJ posted on patterns. Is a block or a sloper a pattern without seam allowances? Just wondering.

Thanks guys. I’m glad you liked it. I really love this fabric – so soft – perfect for a hot humid weather like ours :) Keelysews: I would love to post the pattern, but I don’t have a scanner right now which is why I can’t upload :( JJ: I try to take out darts on clothes — which I really hate to sew – haha

I love the sleeves most, very smart idea to have no seams and still get the soft effect.
