The teddyboy draped jacket with spearmint pockets and the brocade waistcoat are originals belonging to my late husband. I took in the side seams of the waistcoat ( without affecting the original design ( it can go back ). But the jacket fits OK, I think — maybe the sleeves are a little too long – but not enough to bother about really. Oh and the bootlace tie too — all from the late 50’s —I think. The straight skirt I got from a neigbour and took it in to fit.
Gosh — I expect the jacket to be pure wool ( this is what I told the cleaners ! But the waistcoat might be rayon ??? I actually hand washed the waistcoat as it was very badly stained and pressed it with a steam iron! I took a chance ! Polyester modern skirt.
