Decided to make my self a new outfit and knew I wanted a skirt and top. Of course the skirt is a circle skirt, so I needed a style of top to compliment it. Decided to use my new Simplicity pattern. For my fabric I picked a lovely raspberry-colored chiffon. Yes the fabric is pretty, but it was a pain to work with. I knew it would be difficult from reading stories online, and honestly I have to say it went smoother than I thought…but not smooth enough. To prevent fraying along the seams I did all french seams. All-in-all, the top turned out good and compliments the skirt well.

I think you are great to sew this top in chiffon. Yes it is a pain to sew with but you have done a great job and the top is lovely.
