Description

Made using Vogue 2894, of raspberry red silk hessian. The pattern is for a grid iron shouldered, weight lifter worthy jacket, so I removed quite a bit of fabric from both the shoulder width and the sleeve width to get a still boxy, yet streamlined shape. The design is interesting; the sleeves are two pieced but not in the tradition way; instead they have an under-sleeve seam joining at the lowest point of the arm-scye, and a top sleeve seam running along the top of the sleeves. The sleeve caps are shaped with two darts.
The jacket is fully lined in raspberry acetate lining.
